adhere to，insist on，keep to，stick to这些短语都表示“坚持”。
adhere to表示始终不渝地坚持某种思想、意见、信仰等：The government adhered to its original plan in spite of the resistance.虽然有阻力，政府仍然坚持原来的计划。
insist on表示坚持某个观点或者坚持要做某事：He insisted on driving her home.他坚持要开车送她回家。
keep to是“不违背、不背离、仅限于”的意思：Keep to the subject.不要把话扯远了。0ne should keep to his promise.一个人应该言而有信。
stick to既有adhere to的用法，也有keep to的用法。
