1.hemi-，semi-：半

hemicycle n.半圆形；半圆形建筑

E.g.The inner container is stainless steel,hemicycle structure is easy to clean.

采用镜面不锈钢内胆，四角半圆弧易清洁。

semiautomatic adj.半自动的

E.g.It is illegal in some countries to hunt with a semiautomatic rifle.

在有些地方使用半自动步枪狩猎是违法的。

2.mono-，uni-： one 单一

monologue n.独白

E.g.Morris ignored the question and continued his monologue.

莫里斯不理会这个问题，继续他的长篇大论。

uniform adj.统一的；均匀的

E.g.The rows of houses were uniform in appearance.

这一排排的房屋外表都是一样的。

3.ambi-，amphi-：两，周围

ambiguous adj.有两个意义的，暧昧的

E.g.In fact,your ambiguous words amount to a refusal.

实际上，你说的那些模棱两可的话等于是拒绝。

amphibian adj.两栖的

E.g.It is being actively pursued by amphibian specialists.

4.bi-，di-：二、双

biweekly adj.两周一次的

dioxide二氧化物

5.tri-：三

triangle三角形

E.g.He swept a triangle with his finger.

triple三倍的

E.g.The mine reportedly had an accident rate triple the national average.

据报道，该矿事故发生率是全国平均水平的3倍。

6.multi-，poly-：多

multiform adj.多样的

E.g.We hope for multiform cooperation with new and old clients both at home and abroad.

公司期盼与国内外新老客户进行多种形式的合作。

polygon多边形

E.g.Boundaries of the polygon may extend to infinity.

多角形的边界可以延伸到无穷远处。
